Simon
had an outside audience of over 100 children, of mixed ages, in
the palm of his hand last August. Not only were the kids a rapt
audience as he told stories ranging from the classic Wiley
and the Hairy Man to a comical tale of animals shirking
their clean-up duties (think animal noises and feigned sickness)but
also, it was reported after the show, many of the children incorporated
his storytelling style into their own stories describing how some
graffiti appeared in town. If you want to showcase storytelling
at your institution be sure to include Simon Brooks in your line-up.
